(Reno, NV), Feb 18, 2010 – Server Technology, the industry leader for Power Distribution Unit and Management Solutions, today announced a comprehensive integration of Sentry Smart and Switched Power Distribution Units (PDUs) with Rackwise Data Center Management and Intelligence solutions. This integration layer enables Rackwise customers to instantly monitor power information, temperature, and humidity at the rack level via Server Technology intelligent PDUs.
The Server Technology/Rackwise integration combines reliable power distribution, power monitoring and environmental monitoring with an enterprise class software solution that virtualizes the entire data center. The instantaneous information enables precise management of data center resources used for capacity planning, maximizing circuits, and power management.
Integration with Sentry Switched PDU’s also allows the user to reboot locked up or unresponsive devices, along with turning off unused outlets to ensure devices are properly installed for redundancy or that the circuit is not over loaded. The Sentry Switched POPS (Per Outlet Power Sensing) PDU line also allows for power monitor on the individual outlet/device level.
