Our Team

Emmett DeMoss, President, CEO and Director

Emmett DeMoss founded Rackwise in 2003 and is the company’s President, CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. DeMoss has significant experience in identifying critical business trends and positioning selected companies to accelerate and profit from changes caused by those trends

Mr. DeMoss’s prior business experience includes a decade in corporate finance with Dean Witter and H&Q, and subsequent senior positions with a number of successful publicly held companies including EVP of Docutel, the originator of the Automatic Teller Machine, COO & CFO of Grubb & Ellis, and Founder of RealBid, a successful dot-com company, that eventually merged with Co-Star (CSGP).

Mr. DeMoss received a B.S.E. from Princeton and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business Administration

Dom Lesme, Vice President and General Manager

Dom Lesme is a leader with 21 years experience in the creation, development, and enhancement of worldwide teams leading to revenue acceleration. Successful at aligning organizations and programs with company goals; he most recently served at Voyence (acquired by EMC), Micromuse (acquired by IBM), and InfoVista covering configuration management, fault management, and performance reporting; respectively. Dom Lesme is responsible for managing the Sales, Marketing, Development, Operations, Professional Services, Partner, and Business Development organizations.

Mr. Lesme speaks fluent French and Spanish, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida Int’l University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

William Nelson, Director of Product Management

William Nelson is a seasoned IT software professional with more than 20 years’ experience in product management, software design and implementation of network communications, network security, and data center management products. At Retix, IDEA, Hughes Network Systems and Tiara Communications, Mr. Nelson successfully led software engineering teams in the development of network communications and security products. At Digital Link, Tasman, NetScreen, Permeo, and Voyence, he managed a wide range of network and IT management products.

Mr. Nelson attended Metropolitan State College for a BS in Electronic Engineering Technology.

Doug MacRae, Director of Product Development

Doug MacRae brings a rich background in software product management and development to Rackwise. Mr. MacRae will draw on his significant experience in technology innovation, strategic planning, and software development techniques to build world class data center software. He has pioneered a number of enterprise class software products designed for use in the web, desktop, and mobile environments. Prior to joining Rackwise, Mr. MacRae was responsible for heading up the software product development efforts at NetCentrics. He held a senior management position with VisionAir, was the CTO of Furndex, and a senior architect on the technical team at Engineous Software which was acquired by Dassault Systems. Mr. MacRae is an active member of the technology community, serving on the board of the Triangle Technology Executive council.

Mr. MacRae holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech.

John Sblendorio, Director of Channels and Strategic Alliances

Mr. Sblendorio brings 16 years of software sales experience to Rackwise. As the Director of Channels and Strategic Alliances, Mr. Sblendorio is responsible for developing relationships with key alliance partners and providing sales leadership to the Rackwise reseller channel.

During the last 3 years with Rackwise, Mr. Sblendorio held several key roles in the organization; Director of Channels and Strategic Alliances, Channel Sales Manager, and Regional Sales Manager. Prior to joining Rackwise, Mr. Sblendorio held various management positions for leading software companies, e.g., PremiTech (acquired by Capa Systems), MessageOne (acquired by Dell), Pervasive Software, Computer Associates, and Iona Technology (acquired by Progress Software). He also served as Sector Director for Parametric Technology Corporation, where he was responsible for a $22M global services team and managed the top performing area nationwide nine out of fourteen quarters.

Mr. Sblendorio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and started his career in Connecticut with Sikorsky Aircraft and Pratt & Whitney, divisions of United Technology Corporation.

Rick Pond, Manager of Operations

Mr. Pond is responsible for managing the Operations Team at Rackwise, which includes Technical Support, Project Management, Project Engineering, and Sales Engineers.

Mr. Pond is an IT professional with over 15 years of experience in Enterprise Software Implementations, Integrations, Data Migrations, and IT Project Management.  Rick has led many large enterprise projects while at Schlumberger and General Electric in the fields of Electronics and Information Technology. During his time at GE, Rick lead and managed teams of engineers through enterprise hardware and software deployments ranging from large campuses to metropolitan-wide deployments.  As the World Show Site Manager for GE at Stanford, Rick managed site engineers, and advised software engineers and R&D teams through multiple successful alpha and beta enterprise system testing & deployments.

Mr. Pond holds two college degrees: Electronics Technology (AAS/ET) from Heald College, Information Technology (BSIT) from the University of Phoenix; each of which he earned with Honors.
